We build the Carrier Brief in two versions, each offers functional styling combined with waxed canvas, premium leather, and solid brass hardware, all are crafted by hand at Frost River in Duluth, Minnesota. The Premium Carrier offers a padded sleeve, leather shoulder pad, a snap closure, and extra leather on the main flap. The Carrier Messenger has a large zippered slip pocket and is a great starting price point.

About the artist

Christin Fargo started Frost River in Duluth in 2002 with a single sewing machine and a belief that gear should outlive the person carrying it. The company now employs 40 craftspeople in a century-old building overlooking Lake Superior. Every bag uses Martexin Original Wax canvas — milled in New Jersey since 1838 — and SB Foot Tannery leather from Red Wing, Minnesota. The lifetime guarantee isn't marketing; it's how they were raised.
