About this piece
I painted this piece almost entirely at this waterfall, up the enchanted Hyalite Canyon near Bozeman. In typical Montana fashion, despite it being mid August, it was freezing cold. Seven hours of numb toes and fingers later, I hiked the three miles out, completely content but so cold. I worked on it on Main Street during a mid summer art walk the following day, and finished it in my studio shortly after.
