About this piece
This mug was hand thrown on the potter's wheel out of stoneware clay, and carved with a fluted pattern. Decorated with melted wood ash through the course of 40 hours firing in a wood kiln. Dimensions: 3 " H x 4" W 12oz capacity. ************************************************************************** My designs are inspired by the wild plants and trees that I encounter in my adventures, as well as by memories of the plants of my childhood in the Pacific Northwest. Each piece is hand-carved from scratch, so even though I often repeat the same design, each piece is one-of-a-kind and handmade with care in my studio in Bellingham, WA.
