About this piece
This vase is wheel thrown, and decorated with a hand carved and inlaid Evergreen Tree in the Moon pattern. It is glazed with melted wood ash from 40 hours of firing in a wood kiln. A simple, elegant form that stands alone as a decorative object, and looks lovely holding flowers Dimensions: 11" H x 4.5" W ************************************************************************** My designs are inspired by the wild plants and trees that I encounter in my adventures, as well as by memories of the plants of my childhood in the Pacific Northwest. Each piece is hand-carved from scratch, so even with the same design, each piece is one-of-a-kind. This piece was hand thrown on the wheel with stoneware clay.
