Way back in the day, bigger meant better. Skis with gluttonous waists were a dime a dozen, and everything was soft and floppy — stellar for those perfect days when you’re the only one on the mountain. The downside? Once it got tracked out, things got scary, real scary, fast. That’s where the Ghost Train comes in: early taper, flat camber underfoot, and more splay than you’ve seen since the early oughts — all for the silly fun slash-ability we all crave, along with some actual composure and confidence when conditions inevitably get chewed up and spit back out.
