About this piece

These 1/2" thick foam spacers integrate with our handlebar bags to space it away from rim brakes and cables or to change the angle of the bag. They go against your head tube or fork crown and are soft (less marring) and squishy (shock absorbing). For the upper handlebar attachments, we now recommend the hard plastic spacer block because they’re much more stable. Most bag and bike combos don’t need these but if you are having issues with fitment, these may help. The examples below are listed by handlebar and brake type. About the artist

Kyle Ng founded Outer Shell in San Francisco in 2015 with a focus on durable, repairable bags built from recycled sailcloth fabrics partnered with Challenge Sailcloth. He competed under a solo label for a few years before Jim joined in late 2018 from his own brand Fog City Bags.
