This acetate Surf Aviators design could be found everywhere between the late 70s and early 80s and was the eyewear of choice for actors, sports heroes and rock stars - and then it completely disappeared. About the artist

Brothers Marcus and Richard Franck founded Vallon in 2018 in Verbier, Switzerland, after years of skiing, touring, and hiking the Val de Bagnes. The name is French for 'small valley' — a reference to the Vallon d'Arbi above Verbier where the idea took shape. Before launching the brand, the two ran the Old Schoolers Instagram account dedicated to the history of skiing; that obsession with vintage alpine eyewear shows up in every Vallon model — classic shapes resurrected with modern V52 lens technology and contemporary frame materials.
