About the artist
Lori Wing started Melanzana in 1994 in one of Colorado's highest and smallest towns. No marketing budget, no online store, no wholesale — just a factory storefront on Harrison Avenue where locals and pilgrims line up for hard-to-get hoodies. The company employs 30 people in a town of 2,700 and pays above market rate because Lori believes manufacturing jobs should stay in mountain towns.
