In 2026, we’re coming out swinging with one of the most advanced and technical pieces of MKC Apparel to date. The “Whitefish” Waxed Canvas Puffy Jacket is a completely original MKC creation, born out of pure Montana necessity. We live in puffy jackets for eight months out of the year, but traditional puffy jackets simply are not built to last. Most make it through one season before they are ripped apart, falling to pieces, and leaking goose feathers. So we decided to roll the dice and build the most durable puffy jacket possible. One that delivers the warmth and insulation of a puffy jacket combined with the rugged, hard-use durability of a traditional waxed canvas work jacket. About the artist

Josh learned to make knives at age 11 from his little league baseball coach in Lincoln, Montana. By 19, he was the youngest Master Bladesmith in the world. He launched MKC from a two-car garage in December 2020 with the iconic Speedgoat. Within a year, the company had 37 employees. In 2024, they broke ground on a 50,000 sq ft facility in Missoula.
