About this piece
TwisterCane™ BioFoam Sleeping Pads are made to be the sweetest piece of gear in your pack. Engineered for everything from ultralight backcountry summer trips to high alpine winter conditions. Closed-cell foam technology provides a firm, cushioned barrier between you and the ground; smooth on one side with a tire tread pattern on the other. Use alone or layer it with an air pad for added insulation. Made from repurposed sugarcane biomass that is sourced in an environmentally sustainable manner.
About the artist
Bill Gamber named the company after a peak near Steamboat Springs where he spent countless nights camping. In 2001 he had a simple insight: sleeping bags and pads always separate in the night, so why not build a sleeve that holds them together? That one idea launched a company. Big Agnes now designs everything from sub-2-pound ultralight tents to car camping palaces, all from their Steamboat headquarters at 6,700 feet.
