About this piece

Pounding rock and stone to a pulp might seem like a job worthy of the Hulk. But that’s only because John Henry did it first. Inspired by the toughest man to ever work the railroad, this bad*ss bundle of durable Merino Wool is forged for heavy-duty fun... and at times, drudgery. But at least now you’ll have a fresh pair for each day of the work week.

About the artist

Ric Cabot's family has been making socks in the same Northfield mill since 1978. When cheap imports nearly killed the business, Ric pivoted to premium merino wool and slapped an unconditional lifetime guarantee on every pair. The bet worked. Darn Tough now knits over 30,000 pairs a day, employs 300+ Vermonters, and has an estimated return rate under 3%. The guarantee isn't a gimmick — it's a quality control mechanism that forces them to build socks that simply don't wear out.
