Super Bloom Gear Repair
Marijke Stob has been repairing outdoor gear and clothing in Whitefish since 2023, working from a studio in the Riverside Plaza Building on E. Second St. Zippers are her specialty — she's done 10,000+ hours of them — but she'll also patch tents, mend knitwear by Swiss darning, and rework beat-up jackets and fanny packs into new bags. One project turned a grandmother's wool coats into mittens for the nieces and moms.
Founded by
Marijke Stob
Michigan-born Marijke Stob moved to Montana 14 years ago and worked in ski school, on rafts, in warehouses and kitchens before launching Super Bloom Gear Repair in 2023. She studied environmental science at North Park University in Chicago, and the circular-economy angle is load-bearing for her — keeping textiles out of the landfill is the whole point. Five sewing machines and a serger sit at the ready in her studio, with 100 zippers on the wall and sacks of bags waiting their turn.
