A vessel steeped in tradition and filled to the brim with human connection. First dreamed up in collaboration with our friends at Diaspora Co., The Kulhad was inspired by the handleless clay cups that have been used for centuries in the Indian subcontinent—simple vessels made to hold a few warm gulps of chai before being tossed, broken and remade. Sana Javeri Kadri, founder of Diaspora Co., shared photos of traditional kulhads from potters near Indian railways, where they’re still thrown “off the hump” and fired by the thousands.
