Camp calls this the lightest weight certified ice axe in the world. Camp has made a mark for themselves over the years producing some of the lightest weight climbing and mountaineering equipment in the world. This axe is designed for competitive ski mountaineering racers who insist on the lightest weight gear available. Both the shaft and the head are made from lightweight 7075 aluminum.
