Details
This is a fine art print of the painting Looking Up (Grouse Grind) by Joanne Hastie. The Grouse Grind is one of Vancouver's most iconic hikes—2,830 wooden steps climbing straight up through the forest. This painting captures the climber's view: looking up at endless stairs rising through dense trees, with light filtering through the canopy. Painted from the perspective of mid-ascent, it's that bittersweet moment when you're nearly there but the summit still feels impossibly far. The original painting has sold. It is acrylic on canvas, 18" x 24".
