About the artist

Christin Fargo started Frost River in Duluth in 2002 with a single sewing machine and a belief that gear should outlive the person carrying it. The company now employs 40 craftspeople in a century-old building overlooking Lake Superior. Every bag uses Martexin Original Wax canvas — milled in New Jersey since 1838 — and SB Foot Tannery leather from Red Wing, Minnesota. The lifetime guarantee isn't marketing; it's how they were raised.
