About this piece
All are built from dense, substantial, cotton web. The hardware is solid brass. The materials are premium quality-- reliable and built to last. The one inch model works well with our smaller items like the BWCA insulator and the Windigo. The inch and a half are used with the briefcases. The two inch model is used on the luggage. Our standard, burly web, and our standard, solid brass.
About the artist
Christin Fargo started Frost River in Duluth in 2002 with a single sewing machine and a belief that gear should outlive the person carrying it. The company now employs 40 craftspeople in a century-old building overlooking Lake Superior. Every bag uses Martexin Original Wax canvas — milled in New Jersey since 1838 — and SB Foot Tannery leather from Red Wing, Minnesota. The lifetime guarantee isn't marketing; it's how they were raised.
