About this piece
Heavyweight waxed canvas will stand up to the biggest logs a person wants to carry. The Birchbark GDT Log Bag has enclosed sides and extra reinforcement. The upgrade greatly increases versatility. Use it carrying groceries, organize the back hatch of your vehicle- heck, fill it with ice and use it as a cooler! ...waxed canvas is water resistant.
About the artist
Christin Fargo started Frost River in Duluth in 2002 with a single sewing machine and a belief that gear should outlive the person carrying it. The company now employs 40 craftspeople in a century-old building overlooking Lake Superior. Every bag uses Martexin Original Wax canvas — milled in New Jersey since 1838 — and SB Foot Tannery leather from Red Wing, Minnesota. The lifetime guarantee isn't marketing; it's how they were raised.
