The beans are roasted in small batches and there is variety from batch to batch. The consistency is in the roast rather than always using the same beans. We go through a lot of Duluth Coffee Co. coffee in the shop. It more than passes inspection!
About the artist
Christin Fargo started Frost River in Duluth in 2002 with a single sewing machine and a belief that gear should outlive the person carrying it. The company now employs 40 craftspeople in a century-old building overlooking Lake Superior. Every bag uses Martexin Original Wax canvas — milled in New Jersey since 1838 — and SB Foot Tannery leather from Red Wing, Minnesota. The lifetime guarantee isn't marketing; it's how they were raised.
