About the artist

In 2012 Jensen Brehm was on a five-day camel safari in India's Thar Desert when someone sat on his sunglasses. He remembered a NOLS trick — wrap a cord around the broken hinges and tie it behind your head — and was floored by how well it worked. Six years and a college friendship later, Jensen and Nikolai Paloni launched Ombraz on Indiegogo in spring 2018, raising $165K from 1,400 backers in 30 days. Today the company runs out of Bellevue, WA, and ships armless polarized sunglasses to alpinists, anglers, and bikepackers who got tired of replacing snapped temples.
