About her work, Tara says, “In each painting I explore the evocation of mood through texture and colour. With blatant overlapping strokes and under mixed colours I aim to reflect the unrefined, richly textured landscape that is my backyard.” This small but lovely painting reflects on the end of things – perhaps the end of summer, or even just the end of this blooming of echinacea flowers. With its delicate brushstrokes and bright colours, this painting would be lovely in any room.
