Boulder Flatirons  Katherine Homes painted this beautiful version of the Flatirons, using watercolor on sustainably sourced wood. To know Boulder, Colorado, is to know the Flatirons. Rising up 1,400 feet from the ground, they hang over the city like a giant protector. And while they’re beautiful for us to stare up at (and occasionally climb), they’re also home to a wide variety of animal life, like coyotes, fox, bears, deer, elk, and mountain lions, who live on the land surrounding these iconic rock slants.
